Carolina/Perdita | after 'History of the Occult" | PG?
"Of course," Perdita agreed, "and I agree with the Guild's stance entirely--this isn't an easy subject to discuss. Still, I'm glad that we've been given a chance to learn a little about these," Perdita paused, frowning, "unorthodox practices. Considering past events, I think it's good to have a basic understanding of this craft."
Perdita tilted her head, considering Vane's comment of magic. "You know," she mused, "I've never really thought of it like that. I'm so used to putting spells into categories based on class that I forget about the overlaps. I suppose one could argue that every spell has it's offensive and defensive qualities..."
She nodded. "Oh, I do have more questions! You mentioned that necromancy and blood magic have been used throughout the ages. Do you think it's regularly practiced today, and if so, why and how? Access to this sort of magic is very controlled, after all. Do users of occult magic experience any consequences from their acts? The practices that you mentioned, well, there must be some price to pay." Perdita's questions, it should be noted, were asked with innocent curiosity. Dark magic was meant for the villains in plays and old ballads, not for young women who dreamed of having a seat on the Mage Council.
