Kiernan sat in the chair across from her and took the papers, trying not to beam too widely like a kid in Havisham's. A done deal was not a done deal until his signature was on the contract.
Still, he was not so desperate as to put his name on a piece of paper that had terms he was not ready to sign his life away to, so he took his time to read each line carefully. He hummed and nodded along with each bullet point, pen to his lips as he resisted chewing on the tip. Once finished, he grinned up at Gillian and set the paper to the desk and clicked the pen to begin signing.
"It all looks good to me," he said. "No ritual kitten killings or orgies or weird acrobatics required." Or surprise loopholes that would require him to pay more than what they'd agreed upon, but it all looked standard and easy enough to abide by. With a wink, he put the pen to paper. "So I sign here?"
