Lex/Juliette| 5:30 PM - NOBLES DISTRICT.
Juliette's smile grew less polite and more genuine at the question, and she nodded her head. "Yes," she confirmed, "I am. We have known each other for most of our lives." Young people of a certain social class were often encouraged to mix only with their peers, so it was not terribly surprising. But she had always liked Storm and his quiet, bookish nature. Fortunately, all of that hubbub from some months ago had finally died down, and she felt as though Gale had been too busy lately with her own pending nuptials to be bothered with her, so she had felt it safe enough to resume the friendship, now that the scrutiny had faded somewhat.
"It seems we have a friend in common." She felt herself sorry to realize that they were almost at the end of the path that led through the park; once they arrived at the gate on the other side, Lady Aerin's estate would be in sight, and there would be no further reason to linger and converse, for surely Lex's errand took precedence.
