Ari had propped herself up on her elbows to watch Audrey stumble into the room. Belatedly, she lifted her hand to cover a yawn that was already in progress, wincing then the movement sent another spike of pain through her skull. But, she had to admit, her curiosity was ever so slightly stronger than the desire to hide her head under her pillow and wait for the sun to go away.
“All right,” she said, her voice unusually rough. Maybe she had overdone it slightly the night prior. Hopefully she didn’t have to sing today. “If you want to.”
Because frankly, if Audrey was going to tell her all about it, she wasn’t about to complain. If not… she supposed they’d go back to sleep and she’d wheedle the story out later, when she had all of her faculties.
