"Yeah." He easily confirmed, admittedly, he shouldn't be hard to recognize as far as he could figure, but perhaps it was because he'd managed to shuck off the standard White Mage robes he so commonly found himself wandering around in. They did make him probably appear to be a bit bigger in build than he really was. Then the white... Well, he didn't look bad but Darius had never really considered it much his color. Even if he did make those robes look damn good.
"You're welcome." It was polite, just like his Ma had taught him to pull open doors for women. Really, it felt a little weird, it wasn't often he was able to execute his manners in such a way, but on the other hand, it was also pretty nice to be able to do it at all. Maybe if he got lucky tonight he'd find much more use for these sorts of practices after all...
"Oh," The compliment hadn't been entirely expected but it certainly wasn't unwelcome either. A hand reached up to rub at the back of his neck for a moment before falling away. "Thanks. Don't get out of the old mage robes as often as I'd like." Did he just put his foot in his mouth again? Faram damn it. His mouth opened again, thinking about making a comment before it clamped shut again quickly with the advice from Dear Ellie floating to mind. "Let's grab a seat, yea?" His hand gestured but it appeared like Audrey already was two steps ahead of him on that idea. Moving over and slipping into the seat across from her, Darius offered the woman a brief smile before he reached out to grab a drinks menu as well.
"Huh. Not sure." Came the low comment, almost thoughtful in nature before he glanced across. "I think yours might be different." WIth that, he'd reach across the table, trying to take her hand in his as he shifted, trying to get a better look at her menu.
The question took a moment to register. "I did, yeah, thanks. Been meaning to post on the network, but the clinics have had me running doubles lately, not even much time to think, never mind track people down and thank them for gifts or write them cards." A sheepish smile rose, Ma would be so angry at him if she knew right now too.
