Audrey’s stomach was churning.
“I can’t do this,” she mumbled under her breath as she made her way to Puzzles. There were even moments where she had stopped in her tracks and walked back to the direction of the Sapphire, only to turn on her heels and head back to Puzzles. After Ari had spoken to Darius, the bard had let her have the communicator back only watching in amusement as Audrey screamed and threw herself on the floor at the things she made her say. Unfortunately, there was no turning back. As she looked on ahead, Audrey swallowed while putting a hand on her stomach to calm the fleeting butterflies. While she was in emotional turmoil, she could never stand up Darius.
The blonde didn’t get much of a choice as far as wardrobe went. Before she could say anything, Ari had already laid out on her bed an outfit to wear as well was decided how her hair would be styled. The first thing that had to go was the bun she had secured her hair in. Instead it was softly curled and draped over her shoulder in order to show off her back. The dress was short and black, reaching maybe mid-thigh. Being of a backless nature, the collar merely extended from her collarbone and dipped all the way down her back until reaching her hips, revealing the soft curve of her back. Around the extended collar it was embellished with a line of pearls which were also found decorating her shoulders.
As Puzzles was in her eye sight, she continuously pulled her dress lower, a pang of self-consciousness slapping her around the face. “I can’t do this,” she murmured again, reaching for the door. Audrey took a deep breath. It would be alright. It would be like any other day. Had it been anyone else, she could hardly care if she was naked in front of them, but for some reason unknown: butterflies. Another deep breath and finally her shaky hand reached up to push the door open.
