"I believe so," she said, standing up again. Lex gestured toward the edge of the building, a good of place as any to throw the man. "Once you've made your way below, I will release the spell and we can move onward."
The criminal looked extremely nervous at this explanation, but Lex paid him no mind. She was busy looking over the side of the building, calculating the precise amount of magical effort that would be required for such an effort. Now that the most difficult portion of their adventure was complete, the rest of the work seemed easy by comparison.
Lex considered to herself that the results would've been very different, had she not run into Drake. Chasing after vandals and taking them into successful custody seemed vigorous work best suited to more than one individual. She much preferred doing things on her own, of course--after all, aside from Drake, who else could she entrust to a task such as this?
She quickly set the thought aside. Looking over to her friend, she said, "Thank you for your assistance. This...matter has been troubling me for some time."
The criminal mumbled something in response, and Lex afforded him another withering look.
