He had needed to get away from Bahamut. Between dealing with squire assignments, paperwork, Conti's suspicious death (he'd need to go talk to Ash, see if she knew anything about it), and the murders in the sewers, Drake was ready for an impromptu vacation. Instead, the Bazaar would have to suffice. He could grab something to eat, maybe see if anything caught his eye, pick up some flowers to brighten up his kitchen and office. Something that had nothing to do with what he should be doing, even if he'd been staying late and definitely deserved a half day.
The smell of roasted meat caught him by surprise and he realized it had been a while since he'd had any. The last time he'd had any meat had been with Zacheus the week before, and who knew when the last time had been before that? Meat wasn't something that was a constant in his diet, but it smelled so good that he made his way to the stall, falling into line behind the guy grabbing his own kabobs.
As soon as the other man started to walk off, Drake caught sight of Lex. She was watching something intently, with a small smile on her face. He looked around for a second, trying to figure out what held her attention before grabbing his kabobs, tossing some gil on the stand, and heading over to her. "Hey, Lex," he greeted, holding out his stick in offering. "What're you up to?"
