Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
Now, that earned a fairly strong laugh. Perhaps Ari's mother and Aspel's had been bosom buddies in their younger years. "She sounds much like another mother I know." Though fortunately, her own mother hadn't been quite as strict, there was never any hint about controlling her breathing... Well... Aside from that one time but, Aspel doubted that Ari's mother had much relation to dance.
"None is necessary." A hand easily waved off the notion, dismissing even the concept with the greatest of ease. She had offered to help after all and did not back down from her offers. However, the offer of books did cause her smile to lighten a bit. "I have no doubt that I will take you up on that offer at some point."
When Ari moved the conversation back to poetry however, Aspel shifted, paying keener attention to the other woman as stories and performances always did command her attention quite well, even if it was something as simple and small as a friend reciting a poem. When finished, the smith reluctantly relinquished her glass, even if she was rather happy to give a small applause for the curt performance.
An eyebrow raised and a low 'curious' was muttered at mention of Ari's younger association with the mages guild and hands moved to retrieve her own glass once more, still mostly full from Ari's topping it off shortly before. At the question, the glass was set upon the counter again and Aspel's hands dipped down, feeling at the pockets of her pants first before one reached in, digging around and then pulling the requested item out.
"Indeed." Aspel agreed with what the signature was for before offering the pen over. Waiting a moment, she'd allow Ari to take care of business appropriately before offering her still mostly full glass of mead over to the woman, how Ari chose to take a drink from the glass however, was completely up to her. "I would hate to drink so much of your reward."
