Ari/Aspel (+Ric) | 2:00am | COMPLETE!
“Well,” Ari drawled, “I am afraid that after I came upon him in a friend’s kitchen in a state of deshabille and he attempted to use the opportunity to question me, the temptation to add to his discomfort was really far too great to resist. I may also have used him as a human shield against a particularly unpleasant co-star -- though really his lady friend seemed much more appalled at me calling the pair of them my new lovers than he was. Our rather exciting trip to the woods outside town ought not even to be mentioned, as you were present. His face was priceless, but he’ll recover, I’m fairly certain.” He was made of sturdier stuff than to be deterred by such small amusements. “I like your brother,” she added after a moment -- just in case Aspel didn’t realize that her good-natured teasing was ample evidence of that fact.
“A dance,” she corrected, “is all I ask for now. We can certainly discuss other means of entertainment while we are engaged upon the dancefloor; never let it be said that I cannot multitask when it suits me. And no,” she said with a laugh, “you needn’t carry me home tonight, though I shall be quite sore and tired enough to wish it by the end of the evening.”
She took the offered hand readily, responded, “By which I mean, naturally, I would be delighted.” She even added in a wholly silly little simper, much more suited to the ridiculous young ladies who fluttered their fans and eyelashes and played coy than to her. “I put myself into your very capable hands.”
An amused huff of air would be given to Ari’s carrying on regarding the numerous times she had used Rictor for her personal amusement, and the concept of her brother trying to question Ari while he was in a compromising state seemed… Both hilarious and horrible all at once. “He is a good man.” There was a definite pause. “A bit rough around the edges, but I would never doubt the goodness in him regardless.” And there was that deeply ingrained fondness creeping up within her, an obvious love for the man regardless of his flaws.
“Ah,” Her smile grew. “curious indeed.” That would be all of the spoken words given for this instance, but clearly, Aspel followed Ari’s intentions quite well with the look in her eyes. “Perhaps if Rictor follows Seloria home, I will offer such service to you.” And honestly, the idea was rather appealing if she were true to the thought, and herself regarding it.
“Then I pray I shall not disappoint.” And with that, proper stance would be taken before Aspel moved them into joining the others on the dance floor.
