Emily/Ari | Mid-Evening | COMPLETE!
“We will see each other again soon, I am certain,” Ari told her, returning the hand squeeze. They were likelier than not to cross at the next big noble function Ari worked and – she thought with a mental note to request an update on the plan – after Audrey re-entered society, she supposed she would be spending more time at events such as these. “And there you go, making me select your gift for you,” she added with a laugh. “Well, I suppose we will have to go with a nice, dreamy waltz, then. For romance.”
She had a notion that with the likes of Cormac, Emily could use all the help she could get. Not that Ari would mention it.
“Enjoy your dance,” she said before heading for the stage once more, slipping into her seat behind the harp just in time to avoid a glare from the maestro. Fortunately for her, a waltz seemed next on the program, so she didn’t even have to ask. Hopefully, Emily (and, she supposed, Cormac-the-grump) would enjoy the dance.
