Emiliy & Open | Mid-Evening
Emily arrived, dressed in elegance with her arm looped through Cormac's and she took note of the faces that were surprised to see her there. A ghost from the past that was dead for the last five years and now alive and well. Her own parents were not among those faces as she'd paid a visit to them earlier in the day and had a tearful reunion. They were, however, unhappy to see her with Cormac, but so grateful that their daughter yet lived, that they seemed to overlook the two of them together. She knew, without a doubt, that they were already working on trying to create an alliance with another family using her, but no, Emily had a plan for that already.
Cormac had wandered off somewhere and left Emily standing alone, but she was engaged in conversation with other nobles, asking her questions to which she gave simple answers and seemed to get emotional enough at points where they backtracked, not wishing to be the cause of a scene. No tears were shed, but she'd come close a couple of times before the persons questioning backed off.
While others went to dance, Emily drifted to the edge of those taking to the floor to watch. She smiled sweetly, observing the grace of their movements and realized that yes, in fact, she had miss events like these. When she caught the eyes of someone dancing, she smiled a little brighter and they returned it before going back into the motions.
