Anael smiled against Nicholas' kiss, not fighting in, but not rising to his level of agressivity in kissing. Their bodies did press together, and he'd had to sort of half climb over Nicholas so the press would be more natural, but he was pliable, reactive and yes, still kissing him with more tenderness than passion.
Not that passion wasn't a part of love, but Anael was making a point.
