WHO: Anna & Gabe WHEN: a couple days ago. after the cas/meg thing, before jade shows up WHERE: on the beach WHAT: anna bit off more than she can chew. again. RATING: very likely high
The plan all along had been to stop the apocalypse from even starting or die trying. Kill the Winchesters and make sure that life went on without anyone being the wiser, or get killed herself. And by killed, she really didn't mean end up in the Elysian Fields. She was hoping more along the lines of complete oblivion. Non-existence. Hell, she really didn't expect anything else from Michael. He burnt up her Grace. But apparently her soul lived on. And for some reason she'd ended up in Viking Heaven. Great.
Now the plan was to finish what he started. Honestly, she wasn't really thinking when she headed out to sea. She wasn't planning on escaping. She wasn't technically trying to kill herself. She was just antsy. She needed to get. The PTSD from being tortured for a year or so by her siblings was really starting to fuck with her head. She had been calm and collected when she'd dropped into Dean's dream to try and talk him into meeting her so she could kill his brother because she had a plan, a real direction. All of that was gone now that she couldn't see any hope. She was lost in her own fury and pain.
Anna had to have been fighting all day. Maybe two days. Going at the mist monster and going at them and going at them. Most people had their fight and dragged their asses home. Anna might as well have drowned for all the effort she put forth. She didn't stop until she had no choice, until they had chewed her body up and spit out the bones. She had the energy to keep fighting, she had the drive to keep furious, but her body was little more than raw meat anymore. The salty sting of the ocean water as it filled her was hardly enough to make a dent in the pain.
She didn't expect to be chewed up and spat back out on the beach barely alive. And yet still alive. How long had she been screaming for? Was that her actual voice she was using? Maybe it was just her Grace screaming. Sure, this was almost nothing compared to the pain she'd suffered being tortured in Heaven, but it was still pain. A lot of pain. And as she scraped up onto the beach everything was blurry and trying to come into focus.. Everything except a faint and fairly familiar light. Who was that vague glow before her vision completely blacked out again?
