Al was quick, but the less-distracted Roy was quicker. He carried his bag into the other bedroom, dropping it on the bed closest to the door. It was decent enough. Van was right, the furniture wasn't anything remarkable, but it looked comfortable and clean. Two twin beds on opposite sides of the room, two tall dressers in opposite corners, and two shorter ones next to the beds with small lamps on them and an alarm clock by one.
Al sat down, looking around as he forced at least one corner of his mouth up in a twisted attempt at a sad smile. Leave it to an alternate of Brother to think of little things like that.
