It was good that something was seemingly being done. Hermione was aware that it was a difficult situation, but having someone untrustworthy in the position of Head of the DMLE was just asking for trouble. "Lucius Malfoy?" she repeated, sounding surprised, even if Ron had said she should probably be just the opposite. It made sense, however. Lucius had often been behind shady dealings within the Ministry, just because he was no longer working there didn't mean he didn't have contacts.
"You could have heated it up, you know," she told Ron as he mentioned dinner being good cold. At least it was just pasta with a tomato sauce, so it wasn't bad for him that he hadn't heated it.
Glancing up at him as he wandered into the living room, she arched an eyebrow. "Really? Kingsley invited me to go and see him?" Hermione had just about given up hope of being involved in the Ministry at this point, but if the Minister wanted her take on the situation then she would gladly give it. Granted, she was on the outside of it all, but that meant she could offer a different perspective.
