Kevin returned something strong in a glass. It seemed more appropriate than just a beer. As he crossed the room to return to the table, he watch Lisa sitting politely with her appetizers. A half of dozen thoughts drifted through his head. For some reason, being in this environment heightened a lot of the doubts he had already been having. Making him wonder if he had gotten her a drink at the same time, even if she already had one. Whether he should have brought flowers. Wondering why she had chosen to meet him there instead.
"So the scavenging went well," Kevin stated as he returned to the table, gesturing to her food. He pulled up a seat and sat down across from her. Part of him wanting nothing more than to be at home, lying on his bed and listening to music. Eating pizza. Pretending things were the same as they used to be. Kevin took a sip of his drink. "They certainly aren't watering these down."
