Kevin was caught off guard by both Lisa and her attire. They both looked different than normal, but he felt that Lisa pulled it off better. Kevin, with his black trousers, white button down and green tie, felt more like a teenager at a school party than adult at a Ministry function.
Though, to be honest, nineteen hardly seemed adult.
"Justin helped me get dressed. Wait, that just sounds weird." He ran his fingers through his hair. "I didn't really know what to wear." And frankly, it was better than asking his sister for advice. "But you look...green. And girly." Probably not the best compliment. Kevin couldn't understand why his true thoughts failed to translate into words.
Kevin took another bite of his appetizer. "These are delicious, but I know they're not your thing." His eyes scanned the table. "Do you like mushrooms? They have stuffed ones down there. And I think I saw of tray bruschetta floating by not long ago."
