Lucius smiled faintly. "Is everything alright? Of course, why wouldn't it be?" He raised a brow at his son, almost daring him to answer truthfully, before opening the bottle of firewhisky and pouring two glasses.
"I thought you'd have gone out today? It's a Saturday after all. I was tempted to go down the village for a while, but the rain rather put me off..." If there was something Lucius was good at, it was employing pointless small talk to avoid sensitive topics. It had served him well during his days at the ministry, at least.
