Who: Hannah Abbott and Neville Longbottom When: Thursday night, kind of late Where: Neville and Harry's flat--but in Neville's bedroom with the door locked. What: Trying out some new things. Rating: Adult situations. (By teenagers.)
There were two things.
First, there was the fact that she was at Neville's apartment, which was a touch nerve-wracking. Not in terms of who would take care of the dogs--her housekeeper, whose little suite was on the first floor of the manor, was always happy to let them sleep with her for a night--but in terms of this was Harry's place, not just Neville's. A small part of her was so grateful that Neville had a roommate; if he lived alone, would she have been able to resist how tempting it was to just have him move in with her? Be with her all the time? Even though Hannah didn't want to move in with someone until she was married or just about to be married, which she thought was close enough. Neville's commitment to Harry kept that in check. It wasn't fair to ask Neville to come to her place all the time, even if her place was so much bigger, and of course, there were the dogs to consider. While they still had nights where they slept apart, to Hannah, it was just as important to have those night of space as it was for her to come here. To his home. But...Harry was still in the next bedroom! What if he heard them (oh, that word that she hated)--moaning? Oh, Merlin, she could never look him in the eye...
But there was a second thing: she was in Neville's bedroom, surrounded by plants. His linens, his curtains, his plants--this was him. She was just given a new window into him, and everything she saw around her in the room made her feel...well, at home, too. And seeing this, it made her stomach flip in a way that left her slightly dizzy, and she immediately took his face in her hands to kiss him when he sat down on the bed beside her. "You know," she said, pulling back to quick lick her lips, "you can bring some plants to my place, too? If you want?"
