Who: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. What: Aftermath of Ron's little gift. Where: Their flat. When: Wednesday night. Rating: Not a clue.
Hermione was beginning to think that she was the only left with any kind of sense. Ron and Harry found threats to his life amusing, George wanted to stock a wedding topper where the groom died in his store and Ginny had decided that after one failed attack, no one should take the Death Eaters seriously. Honestly, everyone was so completely frustrating that she was tempted to take off somewhere for a while and try and find a group of people who had some semblance of logical thinking.
But she didn't. Instead she alternated between forcing herself to get through her homework, scrawling angrily in her journal and making countless cups of tea that never get touched. She didn't know how long Ron planned to be at Harry's showing off his new favourite toy, but it was probably in his best interests to stay there as long as possible.
Still, she couldn't help glancing at the clock every now and again while he was gone. Perhaps she was the mad one for daring to take something like a threat from the Death Eaters seriously, but Hermione couldn't help feeling a little worried anyway.
As soon as Ron walked through the door, however, she was back to being angry at him again, and she shot him a glare before she went about studiously ignoring him.
