Narcissa could tell she had made her husband uncomfortable, but she decided it was best to ignore it. But it just showed that she and Lucius needed to take more time for themselves, to regain the relationship they had had before the war.
She was grateful when Adalfieri came back with the wine, and after he left, she raised her glass to Lucius's. "To us," Narcissa echoed.
The wine was excellent, of course, and provided a safe subject to talk about. Lucius had said that he didn't want to talk about all the recent events, and in truth, neither did she. "How is your wine making coming, darling?"
