Hannah burst into laughter, bouncing on her toes. This was so normal, just her and her dear friend. Just like normal. "I thought about him in the hat, too!"
"Maybe we could have another Hufflepuff night," Hannah suggested, starting to seal up the raviolis with the top layer of dough, "and Sally and me could cook together? And you taste test, too, and then we can see if everyone wants to help...oh! We could do fondue! So me and Sally and everyone else who wants to, we can cook main dishes? And then there's fondue so everyone feels involved!" She hesitated, biting her lip. "Do you think I could invite Neville? Or no, no, it should just be us." Right?
Her neck started to pink up. "It's not an engagement ring." She paused, chewing on her lower lip. She could remember Anton taking her hand and putting the ring on without her even able to say yes first. As if she could have said no, in front of all of those people. That ring, it weighed her whole hand down. Pulled her right down. "He didn't propose or...he just really wants to me with me and I really want to be with him. And the ring says that." She gave Megan a shy smile. "Did you see? Hufflepuff and Gryffindor colors?"
