"I think Ernie would make a great professor. I mean, Ernie would make a great everything, but I think he could out-McGonagall Professor McGonagall," Hannah said before dissolving into giggles, the idea of Ernie in McGonagall's black hat too funny not to laugh. "Couldn't you just imagine!"
She licked a bit of cheese from her thumb as she began to fill the center of the squares. "I think it would be so fun, to take what we all love doing and do something really really good with it." Brushing her hair back again--why wouldn't it stay in place?--she grinned at Megan. "You can be the head taste tester, too! I mean, you have to make sure that it's super good, right?"
Hannah had bowed her head back down as she carefully put a spoonful of filling down the rows of squares. She wasn't a purist; she liked to use spells when she cooked or baked, but this was an activity that kind of defied a spell. You just had to do it by hand--especially a hand with Megan's gift on it. But she didn't notice her friend inspecting Neville's ring until...well, Megan said something in a voice that slightly reminded her of someone announcing a birthday.
She stared at the ring. She blushed. "Neville gave me a Valentine's Day gift," she said, turning a brighter red.
