Megan giggled, remembering Ernie as a prefect her fifth and sixth year. “I know! Honestly it was a miracle he didn’t lose his voice every week.” Megan said with another giggle. “I’m sure he’s quite disappointed that he can’t have such a position after Hogwarts.”
“That would be fun. Bet Justin would love to join in,” Megan said as she watched Hannah with interest. Oh she was rubbish but it was fun to watch sometimes. “We should do that sometime this summer; I can be in charge of watching you lot.” Megan added with another giggle.
Of course, Megan had noticed the new ring Hannah wore not long after she’d seen that her friend was wearing the bracelet as well. When she took it off, Megan glanced at it for a moment, trying to decide if she should check it out. Finding a short lull in the conversation, Megan leaned forward and picked it up. The stone was a diamond, Megan knew that almost immediately. And a ruby. There was no way this was a cheap ring. This surely meant it had some sort of meaning! “Hannah… do you have something to tell me?!” Megan asked, trying hard not to sound overly excited but likely faling miserably.
