Miles looked at her for a moment, then glanced at Teddy, who was still behaving really well in with his bright blue hair, playing with the toy that Miles had purchased as a last minute thought. Apparently he had done well as the kid seemed to like it.
"I suppose you would need to be," he agreed. "And I suppose that if I were to take advice from anyone, it would be someone with the proven strength to back up her words." It wasn't flattery. Miles only engaged in flattery when he was trying to go home with a woman for the night, and that was definitely not the case here.
He meant what he said, having learned enough since their first meeting to know a bit more about Andromeda. She had made her choice, and it had certainly not been an easy one in the end. For that he respected her.
