Ron blushed more as Charlie laughed, but then was grateful that his brother moved on. "Have you asked one of the Healers? One of the Aurors has a tattoo, and it got hit but I think it's alright. They're weird. I've thought about getting one though."
He shrugged, but when Charlie continued, he wasn't sure what to say. Hermione may have been joking the other day when she told him he still had the emotional range of a teaspoon, but there were definitely times when he felt awkward. Around his family was one of them. But he didn't think his brother had screwed up, and he could at least say that.
"Bloody hell, Charlie. You're alright, aren't you? And that's just what we do. Don't think for a minute that any one of us wouldn't have done the same."
He smiled slightly at the mention of their mum. "She'd been mad plenty of times before, yelling at us and the like. But yeah... Mum was the fiercest woman I think I'll ever know." And strongest. Since their parents had died, Ron really didn't know how his mum had held the family together, or held herself together, whenever the family was in danger.
