Something felt a miss. Amycus felt it, but had been unsure if Alecto had reciprocated such a feeling. As much as he wanted to relish in such a joyous occasion, the fall of the ministry at the heart, a part of him thought such an event would be disastrous. Striking such a pivotal point in the wizarding community at in early time frame could end up parting in two directions. Either they remained supreme and the rest would crumble before the might of the Death Eater's feet, or the plan would fall in a unsuccessful conclusion. Never the less, Amycus was in attendance among the others that followed the correct cause, remaining silent. If all went well, it would be an evening that they had all dreamed about since continuing their antics after the fall of the Dark Lord.
As much as he had hoped that such negative thoughts would not occur, that was exactly what had been displayed before him. An ambush. Betrayal. Someone had informed the Order and the Ministry the plan for the evening. That was evident enough from the sight of an army of blood traitors and mudblood lovers armed thoroughly against the Death Eaters. It had been unexpected to say the very least, despite the thoughts prior to the matter.
Already defending himself, Amycus had shot out the killing curse left and right in order to make a pile of bodies lay waste before him. Some of the spells had come in contact with a couple along the way, but most had ricocheted off the walls in the haste to hurry to search for his sister. That was one person he refused to loose on a night that should have belonged to them. That was a thought that would set him over the edge easily, which he would only leave one wizard responsible for; a Lestrange. However, whoever caused such a travesty against the Death Eaters, Amycus would make sure that the individual would pay for making such a choice. Not many people crossed the older Carrow's path and lived to tell the tale in the end.
The voice of Alecto had been heard loud and clear through the mass amount of noise and spells heading off in opposite direction. If her actions had saved him from instant death, Amycus was uncertain and hardly mattered for the moment since a good amount of life was within him. In an attempt to give his sister a good amount of time to retreat from the chaos, the older Carrow had choose to remain back for a few minutes longer to hold the hoard off and for the students as well. The latter had only been a slight thought in his mind because of how precious those few were to Alecto.
"Go, NOW," he managed to yell out to the other Carrow, hoping that the tone of voice he used was good enough to make her vacate the area, knowing fully well the location of their exit via floo. As a few shots of stunning spells had been aimed in Amycus' direction, they were all deflected away from his body. Jets of green light had been sent his way as well, however, those were easily viewable and quite avoidable.
However the army had been far too much. If he had knocked one out for the count, there were plenty more to replace that one individual. Amycus knew when enough was enough and the battle had been lost. It was a sight that he had been familiar with past situations. Bolting down the corridor, he had managed to kick a body laying in the middle of the floor that vaguely appeared to be Rabastan Lestrange. Any other time, he would have smirked at the thought that he had kicked such a pathetic person as a whole, but there was no time to take a second look. If the so called leader of the Death Eaters had in fact had the outcome of death for that matter it would be learned soon enough. And with the fact that it would serve him right as well, especially for listening to a plan of a new recruit in the mix.
