Luna had arrived as soon as the first patronus had been sent out. Though she’d had trouble sleeping last night, eventually exhaustion took her over as she drank the last of the tea Draco had sent her, managing to get a few hours sleep at least. She was jumpy every time the door opened, though she was quiet, and determined not to let her mind wander, her father‘s death silently forcing her to lose some of her childlike absent-mindedness. When loud noises and flashes started, Luna threw hexes in the direction of the masked figures, before announcing to a few people who were standing near her that they should spread out a little, and ran off in another direction.
Luna kept a stern expression covering her face as she launched spell after spell at the attackers. Some were too busy with other people to notice her hexing them, some turned their attention to her, giving her an opportunity to disarm them or put them in a body bind, and over time, she saw their numbers get smaller, some Death Eaters falling, and others running scared. She tried to do a head count to see just how much longer the fight would go on for, as it felt like it had been lasting for days already, when it was actually only the early hours of the morning. She aimed a hex at a Death Eater she saw running away from the scene, hoping to stop them from getting away, but even if they were injured, they still seemed to have been able to escape.
The bodies all around made Luna’s stomach twist, and she tried not to look down, in case some of the fallen were DA or Order members, and instead kept her jaw tight, her eyes narrowed, and her mind focused on the Death Eater coming at her. “Confundus!” She watched as the person paused in their movements, looking around unsure of what they were doing, and she quickly disarmed them. Knowing they were unable to attack her, Luna decided to throw aside all her planning, and ran forward to the middle of the room to pull off the mask, and just as her hand gripped it, a spell hit her square in the back, knocking her forward, and she gritted her teeth as she felt her nose break, and a burning pain in her back. Gripping her wand, she cast Episkey at her nose, just so she'd be able to breathe, and pulled herself to her feet, only to be knocked down again a few minutes later by a leg-locker curse directed at her as she tried to run out of the line of fire. Her wand flew a few inches in front of her, and as she reached out for it, she heard an Incendio spell incanted, the pain causing her to let out a toe-curling scream as it hit. "Accio Wand..." She gasped out. Once the wand reached her hand, she lifted her arm painfully, firing a silent Incarcerous spell at her opponent, her eyes closing seconds later as she passed out from the pain.
