This was the night Alecto Carrow dreamed of. This wasn't just causing mass mayhem through muggle London. This wasn't torturing muggles and mudbloods. This was all out dividing and conquering. This was what she was training her students for...
This was....
CHAOS. As quickly as the bliss came from taking over the Ministry, it was gone. Alecto was left defending herself, all the while attempting to fend off spells, hexes and curses from her students. The one that stuck near her in the madness were the ones that heard her shout over the din, "QUICK! Leave!" It was in her eyes, that look of horror and shock at being caught off guard like this. She wasn't anticipating an army to be waiting for them. They were betrayed that night. Someone told the Ministry about their plans, and Alecto couldn't begin to fathom who.
Alecto planned to stay and fight as long as it took for her students to get to safety, but she knew some of them ran off, and she couldn't keep a head count.
Making her way through the department, Alecto's fury was focused on those not wearing mask and cloaks. Killing curse after killing curse was aimed high and low in hopes of hitting their marks. It wasn't until she found herself stumbling over a body that her attention was drawn to the ground. Staring up at her was the lifeless face of Rabstan Lestrange. Eyes went wide with shock as she glanced around the department, attempting to find the face of her brother. It only took one glance from her to send him a message that this was a hopeless cause.
"Amycus!" She shouted, throwing another killing curse at someone who was aiming their wand. She didn't need to say more, she was all ready bolting down the corridor, towards the floo that was promised to them. Finding the hat rack tossed aside, it was a sign that someone had all ready used it, which in Alecto's mind was a relief. That meant that at least some of them escaped all ready.
Stepping into the hearth, Alecto was whisked away from the disappointing evening. Stepping out into the unfamiliar location, Alecto didn't care since she was all ready apparating to the Carrow Estate, hoping her brother would know to apparate there and not to their former hideout. If he didn't show up, she knew what that meant, and she really didn't want to consider that. All she could do was pray that he would show up, and maybe her students would think to show up there so she at least would know they were all right, and they could figure out where to go from there.
