"Hey," he said softly. "Remember everything you told me yesterday? We're as prepared as we can be. We have the advantage. They're not expecting us, but we're expecting them."
He sighed, because he couldn't really promise everything was going to be alright. As much as he wanted to mean the words he'd just said. "We are ready though. As much as we can be."
He tentatively stretched his arm out behind her, draping it on her shoulders until he was sure she wasn't going to push him away. And then he pulled her toward him. She needed to relax enough enough to get a few hours sleep, for both of their sakes.
