There had been plenty of things that had been popping up in the life of Dean Thomas. Some where great and others the exact opposite. While some had been unexpected, he knew that things were going to change, especially now that he knew the name of his real father. Of course, nothing would change in his home life, unlike how his mum had thought for quite a bit of things. Dean wasn't the type to do that, but with the way things had been going these last couple of weeks, it was something that he needed to know. For the time being, he waited patiently for Hermione to figure out how he was going to be able to talk to Kingsley to receive more information. It would have to wait a couple of days, obviously, because of the event that seemingly would occur within the Ministry. That was something he hoped would pan out nicely without it going down hill quickly. All one could do was hope for the best though.
It didn't help any of the situation when Morag only cared about him as a friend. The feelings that he had for her weren't reciprocated as much as he had hoped. Of course, Dean wasn't about to force anything no anyone. It wasn't the way that he worked, so it was best to let things remain that way, hoping that things between them wouldn't turn out how things ended up with Ginny. That he couldn't seem to wrap his mind about. Months had passed, but it felt as though nothing had changed. She was awkward and barely responded to him. That was something that he would handle later after everything that went down. Waiting wasn't in his system any longer though. Dean was sure of that.
Watching the clock tick down slowly, he knew that Seamus would be there any moment. There was something off with his best mate lately, but he couldn't figure out what exactly. He figured that things would be out in the open sooner rather than later. It wouldn't help anything to force the situation on Seamus to just let everything out. He would just tell Dean when the time was right. There had to be some points scored for just noticing, unless that was too weird. No one could blame him for guessing that there was something wrong, especially with everything going on lately.
Dean heard the knock on the door and pushed himself up from the seat a moment later. However, he was caught off guard by the youngest Thomas sibling already bounding towards the door. "Where do you thing you're going?" he asked in a slightly amused tone of voice, before scooping up the little girl by the waist and hanging her off the side of his hip in a dangling sort of way. "I want to see Seamus!" Well, who could deny her something the wanted? Especially with the sad expression upon her face. It only took him a few minutes later to toss the open the door, catching sight of his best mate on the other side.
"Seamus!" Sharlene exclaimed loud and unexpectedly.
"She couldn't help herself, mate. Here‘s your biggest fan," he answered with an amused laugh, before placing her on the ground in front of him.
