Marietta stood up quickly and turned her back to Cho to keep from screaming at her. Her mind was nothing like a muggle's, how dare she say such things! She thought she was her friend, and there she was comparing her to a disgusting piece of filth. What more, suggesting that the creatures who killed her father could help her now suffering mother. How dare she think that she knew what was good for her mother more than Marietta herself did. Holding back angry tears as good as possible, she responded in an even tone, "Thank you for your concern, Cho, but I don't think that's wise right now. I would worry a muggle wouldn't be able to understand, not to mention, of course, that I wouldn't trust her to not mention about the wizarding world and endanger herself or muggles." She worked her face into a small smile and turned to face Cho. "Thank you for the suggestion. I haven't taken all her memories, I've mearly lightened her load. She's sedated not knocked out. She just needs some sleep and hopefully in the next couple weeks she will be well enough again. She's a resilient woman, my Mother."
She sat down next to Cho, putting her hand on her leg in a gesture of intimacy. "Loss never comes easily. I'm sorry I've made this about me, you're obviously upset. You loved him, and that is something very difficult to deal with. I...I haven't experienced that love, but I know loss. I'm sorry for that, Cho, really I am."
