Marietta was at her kitchen table, pouring over the ingredient list that Pansy had sent her to begin working on the polyjuice potion. Her mother was tucked upstairs-she had obliviated her memory, and finally the woman was able to sleep.
She was taking a sip of tea when she heard the knock at her door, which nearly made her spit her tea all over her parchment. She panicked when she heard the sound of Cho's voice asking to be let in. Quickly, she gathered the parchment up and put them in the freezer, doing a quick transfiguration so they appeared to be some old frozen peas. She ran to the door, stopped for a moment to collect herself so she didn't appear flustered, and looked in the mirror. She worked a second to turn her annoyed and exasperated expression (why did Cho have to interrupt her NOW?), and when she fixed her features into something resembling concern, she turned and opened the door.
