Justin was glad to hear that Sally seemed better. Like he had helped lift something heavy off her chest and she could finally breathe properly. He didn't want to feel smug, because now wasn't the time, but he definitely liked the idea, that he had been the one to lift it off her. "And you will figure it out. I seriously don't doubt that you will."
He knew she was probably just trying to make him feel less responsible and part of what she said did make sense. But, regardless he was going to feel guilty -- or not, "You're welcome?" He let a small laugh come out. He was glad where this discussion had brought them. He couldn't see himself not describing her as friend now.
"What are friends for?" And it was as equally lame as what she had said before, but he felt he could get away with it for now.
