Sally was a bit taken back by the "gentleman" comment. She hadn't even realized how very recently she had insulted his status as well-bred man. "It feels weird to just sit there and wait for someone to open the door. Especially since I've finally managed to figure out how open it myself." The last time she was in the car, she was completely lost on how to unlock it.
"I'm not sure how opening doors makes someone a gentleman. Being polite, well-spoken, cultured - I understand that. Both genders should strive for that. But opening doors?" Yet even while she spoke, Justin jumped ahead and opened the door to the cafe. "Sometimes I wonder if you listen when I talk, Justin." She chided, but with a smile.
"A cappucino would be nice," Sally offered as she made her to an empty table. She took a moment to organize her thoughts, debating what she wanted to discuss with Justin. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched a young man poking and proding a slim black machine sitting on the table in front of him. She wondered what that was all about.
