Sally was almost amused by Justin's reaction to the clock. "If I didn't know better, I would think you actually enjoy shopping." Personally, she had never been much of a fan of typical shopping. She avoided it unless there was something she actually needed to purchase. Well, unless it involved buying food. That was always a pleasure to Sally-Anne.
She grew quiet for a moment, trying to imagine the clock that Justin held in his hands sitting in his father's study. Once she got over the idea that Justin's father even had a study. There had been an office in her parents house long ago, but had been turned into Sally's bedroom when she was born.
"Do you remember when it had been just us? The ones with dead parents." Thinking back, Sally wished she had had been able to talk to Justin about it then. "Then it was Hannah's mum, followed by her dad. Now Susan's parents..." Her voice trailed off. She hadn't planned on getting serious during tonight's outing. It just sort of popped up.
