Of course, the one time that he took the more calmer route with his words was the moment that Alecto chose to take the bull by the horns. If she had only waited a few moments, then she would have known what Amycus was up to with the point of his own words. All he saw in Rabastan was a pathetic excuse for a Death Eater that claimed to be in charge. If Rodophus was running the show being the proverbial curtain, then Amycus would easily see the reason behind this particular Lestrange brother act of weakness. The first batch of words that exited his lips were only to feel around and grasp a hold of what exactly what ran through the other man's mind and take in a bit of unspoken information.
If she only chose to wait a few minutes, but now it only seemed that he would be following her with her words. The business how Rabastan was conducting would have been unleashed moments later by Amycus. However, he made a mental note of something that Alecto had been keeping secret from him. Amycus had no idea that Rabastan spoke to her about another idea as a whole, leaving him in the dark.
"I was just about to get to the part," he replied before Rabastan had a chance to make a fool of himself even more, before glancing up at the Lestrange brother. "How unacceptable things are becoming." The last words were spoken quite a bit louder than before, as Amycus closed the gap between the back side of Alecto, standing near her within moments. Granted, Amycus should have guessed the response that the younger Carrow sibling would have been. Feeling out any opportunities to sense a bit of weakness had been the wrong approach, he know that much at that moment.
Titling his head ever so slightly, Amycus glued his eyes on Rabastan and took note of everything around the pathetic man. It still bothered him to a great degree that Alecto had no confidence within her own brother to get the deed done and speak the words that needed to be said at that precise moment. If only she waited just a bit longer, it wouldn't seem as though he was merely following suit. "Alecto is right. I don't remember appointing either one of you to make choices for the Death Eaters as whole only to conduct yourself with lack of unity. The Dark Lord would be disgusted with you at this point," he answered moments after Alecto had finished her little speech. "But yes, cooperation is given."
"Unless you're jealous that the Dark Lord hadn't placed you in major plans until the very last moment. As I recall, Alecto and I were in every single one of them," he added with almost a wicked expression. The Carrows had been in and knew everything tha had been hatched along the way. Of course, they hadn't been as close as Bellatrix had been to the Dark Lord, but they weren't notified until the end. "Is that why you're failing at keeping it all unified?" To be honest, Alecto had a good amount of the Death Eaters under her control. It was possible to take charge of the operation easily with the new recruits.
