Astoria was almost halfway finished with her tea, absentmindedly tapping her nails against the cup, when a voice pulled her attention away from a young mother and her sleepy-eyed toddler on the other side of the street. She looked up to see Blaise standing a few feet from her, dressed in a nice black suit and a charming smile gracing his features. "Blaise, it's so lovely to see you," she said, a smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she slid out of her seat and stood up. "I would love it if you'd join me for breakfast," she added, kissing his cheek in greeting. "Please have a seat," she said, gesturing to the seat across from her as she returned to her own.
She was pleasantly surprised to see Blaise this morning and even more pleased that he was joining her for breakfast. With all of the deaths reported in the Prophet lately and her mother packing to go on holiday in France, her father and brother spending longer hours than ever at the Ministry, and her sister staying at their villa in Greece, Astoria was craving company even more than usual lately. The usually appreciated the large size of the Greengrass Estate, providing plenty of places to find entertainment, but when it was empty like it is now, Astoria found herself wishing that it wasn't so roomy. Unlike her sister, she was never the type to enjoy solitude. She liked interacting with others, even if it was just small talk. She had actually been contemplating paying Blaise a visit that afternoon, thinking about how she hadn't seen in him a while and would love nothing more than to catch up.
"How have you been?" she asked, smoothing her napkin over her lap. "It feels like it's been ages since I last saw you," she said, holding up a hand to signal the waitress so she would come by the table for Blaise's order.
