Not sure where this was going, but wanting Justin to understand that she was there for him., Megan held on tight; it was up to him to let go. Resting her head against his chest, she smiled softly as he apologised. It was nice when he acted like a normal human being. She wanted to say something, about the door, about how maybe it wasn't safe and he shouldn't be there, but before she could get the words out, Justin was pulling her back and out toward the door.
Heading back, Megan and Justin proceeded into the dinning room, where they'd all assembled. Settling into her seat, Megan took her napkin and smoothed it over her lap. Biting her lower lip at the looks from her mother and Justin's Megan tried hard not to giggle. Catching the look from Justin, Megan giggled and shook her head. "No, I'm sorry Auntie Lizzie, but I'm sure after Oxford he'll change his mind," Megan said, with a grin back at Justin.
"Quite well, Justin, thank you. The usual sort of politics, which I don't intend to bore you with, but then what does one expect with Labour in office." Preston said with a shake of his head. He actually loved discussing his work, but he knew better than to bring it up with the ladies. "How are you doing, son? Planning on taking your A-levels?"
