With a loud pop, the pair disappeared from the alley and were sucked into invisible tunnels that transported them the street where Kevin lived. It was not far from the Ministry of Magic, but they had to be careful because it was a muggle neighbourhood. The was no point in drawing attention to themselves, even in situations like this.
He ran up the stairs, two at a time, with Lisa in tow until they reached the third floor. Shoving his key into the lock, he turned it, pushing the door open. Inside, Kevin was surprised by the mood the room had taken in his absence.
Shannon, and what appeared to be several of her friends, were sitting in various positions throughout the furniture in their living room. For some reason, it was noticeable to Kevin that all the occupants were wearing denims and khakis - not a single robe in sight. All eyes flashed up at him when he entered the room. It was clear they were neither expected nor wanted.
"It's okay," Shannon assured. "It's just my little brother." Her mouth thinned a little when she realized Kevin was not alone. "And his date," she supplied.
