I wouldn't plan a three day holiday without asking you first."
Not that he had anyone to go on a three day holiday with other than her, but that wasn't the point. And he really didn't want to raise that point because his intention wasn't to make her feel guilty about that. Just the fact that she hadn't considered any of his own plans for the weekend.
