Justin pulled back, his hand finally falling from her face. He supposed, he saw it coming, but, there was also the possibility she would have done it that made Justin ask her in the first place, anyway. “It’s fine.” It wasn’t, but he wasn’t going to be a dick about it either. He stood up and dusted his hands against his pants. “I should probably go. It’s pretty late.” Was it? He wasn’t sure. He just knew he didn’t want to be there anymore. Not when, she had started something, she knew he would want to finish, but pulled it away before he could. Fair? None of what she had done tonight was fair on him.
“Did you need help, packing up?” He shook his head, as he answered himself. “Right you’ll just use your wand. Never mind.” He brought a hand up and curled a piece of his fringe around. “Dinner was nice. Thanks. So, I’m going to go now.” He looked over at Sally and the door. Looked like tonight, he would be the one not sleeping.
