WHO: Daphne Greengrass & Theodore Nott. WHAT: Daphne invited Theodore for tea. WHERE: The Greengrass Estate. WHEN: During morning tea. RATING: ?
Despite inviting Theodore over for tea, Daphne's cup was left untouched on the tray. Watching the lemon bob in the light, her mind was definitely off in six different directions and only floating farther away. She thought that inviting Theodore over would clear her mind, but it only made her more foggy. It didn't help that she spent most of the evening before packing her bags and getting things in order for her trip to Greece. She didn't know what she was going to do there, but it would be better than staying in England, where she knew the Death Eaters would have an easier way of finding her.
Clearing her throat after a rather prolonged moment of silence, Daphne's hazel gaze lifted to look up at him, "I'm leaving for a holiday, Theodore," Brushing imaginary flecks of lint off her skirt, she waited for that to sink before continuing on, "To Greece. I just thought you should know."
Daphne didn't want to tell him too much, what's more, she didn't know how much he knew. Didn't Death Eaters talk about this stuff? She was almost positive that they all would be teeming with rumors by now. Part of Daphne was praying that Amycus was too humiliated to talk about what happened at Borgin and Burke's. The other half of her knew that if she didn't leave England for a while, they wouldn't stop. Wards and protective charms could only keep her safe for so long, and if Amycus was willing to confront her in public like he did, what's to say they wouldn't try to attack her home?
This wasn't what she wanted, she didn't want the attention of Amycus Carrow, yet, she somehow gained it.
