For a moment, Amycus had caught the tiny smirk that curled at the ends of her lips and had slight hope that she would indeed listen to him. That's all he wanted at that point, especially since the meeting had already been an utter failure. He hadn't the slightest idea on how Alecto dealt with the younger students and recruit them with ease. Of course, the temper boiling inside of him always seemed to lose control one way or another. He admitted that to himself. Even Alecto had pointed that out to him on numerous occasions, however, he could recall more then just a few times that she chose not to protest.
He was sure that other Death Eaters had tried to recruit the young woman to join their ranks, but Amycus had a different plan in store for her. Maybe through time of learning how powerful she had the potential of being, then she would easily agree to become part of them. He had no qualms on taking her under his wing, despite the fact that he tended to look down at the opposite sex. In their shared situation, she had shown that she could tangle with the best of them and gaze any fear that she might hold straight in the eye. "You certainly do have a way with words, Miss Greengrass. Threat or not, it's really a good quality to have," he stated without any form of release of her arm. Amycus doubted that she could hold true to her words at that point. There was a likely chance that she hadn't been in that situation previously and would studder under pressure in actually performing the spell. "I'm sure that my offer isn't the same as all the others. I can make you better than you already are. Such anger that you hold and not use an unforgivable against those unworthy to walk amongst you is such a travesty."
With the tip pointed directly upon his chest, Amycus knew the likelihood of a spell setting off was inevitable. It was on purpose that he had done that small action. That was plainly obvious. If there was one thing that the older Carrow sibling wasn't it was stupid. Others doubted him, but there were many skills he held in a large variety of subjects. His actions would lead to much greater things for the both of them, even if Daphne failed to see it at that very moment. She failed to notice that he claimed her for himself.
As the blast set off against his chest, it was merely enough to send him backwards, but enough to release his hold on her. He half expected to go flying across the room and landing against the wall causing quite a bit of noise. Well, one thing was right from his assumptions. The blast had caused it to echo throughout the room as part of his arms flailed, knocking over a couple of items that were sent crashing against the floor. Allowing his gaze to return towards the woman, a smirk spread across his features easily. It was only seconds later that he vanished out the door to the beyond as the shopkeeper quickly returned into the room to investigate.
