Draco sipped his whiskey slowly, enjoying the flavour wholly as he thoughtfully contemplated the amber liquid in his glass and listened to Theodore’s words. The afternoon had already been full of catching up in the usual manner which touched on the surface of many topics and as Draco listened, it became clear that the time had come to discuss what Theo had mentioned upon his invitation. Draco glanced up from his drink and looked at Theodore, his expression one of agreement and he allowed his head to nod slightly.
“Indeed, old friend.” Draco said as warmly as was appropriate but not to sound condescending. “I daresay it is a discussion of great importance.” He nodded again and took a slow sip of his drink before he set it down on the side table and looked back again at Theodore. A slight smile of established friendship pulled at the corners of his mouth and Draco inhaled, mentally preparing himself for the discussion that might ensue and readying himself for a level of honesty with his old friend that had somehow, over the years, faded into their separate lives. “I would like to think,” He started slowly, “That we have come to the point where the time has come to a head.”
