It spoke volumes of their friendship to hiim that she would perch on the edge of the bed instead of leaning on him or reaching out for him in anyway. He felt like they had been friends forever and yet there was still something there that kept them divided. "No, not really." he said the teasing undertone to his voice gone and seriousness in it's place. "I don't feel like I am anything special or extraordinary, just me." he turned and moved to sit up next to her.
"I am not joining them, Tracey. I won't say it hasn't been suggested or attempted to be coerced but I am determined to remain neutral until this bloody war is over. I promise, darling. I wouldn't lie about this."
