"If real life was a fairy tale, after Hogwarts, we would have lived happily ever after," Hannah said, falling quiet for a moment. Ever affectionate, she would never hesitate to cuddle up to Ernie, and she saw Neville in the same light--especially after how loyal she had been to him during their seventh year, she'd follow him most anywhere--but the laced fingers and the stroking of his thumb and even his head against hers reminded her less of Ernie and more of Anton for reasons she couldn't put into words. Maybe just because she missed Anton so much. Or missed the idea of him so much.
Hannah didn't answer Neville's question about The Lion King (which she did love, too): she was still hung up on the idea of happily ever after. She had fallen quiet and then asked in a small voice, "Why didn't we get out happily ever after?"
