Who: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. What: Post escape from St Mungo's. Where: Their flat. When: Sunday evening. Rating: Low, I assume.
Having had some measure of success with wearing her Healers down enough that they allowed her to take a shower, Hermione had then been working on the option to go home. When Ron had told her the night before that he didn't see why she couldn't and promised his own willingness to look after her, that had made her mind up in such a way that anyone was going to be hard-pressed to change it.
Discussing it with her parents had been an ordeal however, with her mother insisting that she should stay a few more days, and it certainly hadn't helped that she was feeling less than stellar in the morning. But Hermione had inherited her stubbornness from both her parents and was therefore willing to stand her ground for a lot longer than her mother was, and eventually she managed to convince them that there was nothing less at home that she needed than there was at St Mungo's. She could take the potions she needed with her and Ron was far more attentive than any Healer they could have come across.
Telling Ron as much as soon as he walked back into the room; between him, herself and her parents, they were able to negotiate her way out of St Mungo's with the promise that she would come back for an examination at the end of the week.
The entire trip wore her out, but Hermione didn't think she had ever been so glad to see the inside of her flat in all her life. It was no bother to her afterward that Healer's orders were to go straight to bed, and after getting herself as comfortable as she was going to get, she thanked her parents before they left, assuring them that she would most definitely contact them if she needed anything.
As much as she appreciated their company, it was nice to be alone with Ron again once they were gone. And she was home, which made such a difference.
Settling back into the small mountain of pillows, "Did you get that quill I asked you about?" she questioned him, glancing around their room. She was very much hoping to be able to use her journal again, but he had insisted she use a Dicta-Quill if she was going to. Hermione thought he probably had a point, though she wasn't going to admit it.
