This was a terrible idea, judging by the look on Hermione's face when she sat up. But he had a feeling she was going to try with or without his help and he wasn't going to protest knowing that.
"Alright," he said quietly. "But you really are going to have to let me help," he told her. "And tell me if you're in pain or if I've hurt you, or if you need to sit down, alright?"
He pushed the blanket and sheets down to the foot of the bed, and then helped guide Hermione to where she was sitting with her legs draping over the edge of the bed. "Take it slow," he directed. "Hold onto me, but don't try standing until you're ready."
